Why Is Buying a Camper a Great Idea?

Buying a camper is a really good idea if you like the outdoors, or if you just want to spend more time with your family. Too often, there are a lot of different vacation ideas that can distract you from spending time with your family. When you go camping, there are really a whole lot of distractions.  You really cannot watch TV. And it is hard for you to work, so really all you can do is spend quality time with your family.

If you like the outdoors, then buying a camper is an added bonus. You can take a camper with you when you go hiking, skiing, bicycling, hunting, or mountain climbing. No matter what you like to do outside, and will be more enjoyable when you have your own camber to do it in.

Where I live in Idaho, campers are very popular. This is because they’re a lot cheaper than motorhomes, and they are basically the same thing. Plus almost everybody that lives in Idaho drives a truck.  Literally, if you go to any parking lot, you’ll count 50% of the cars in the parking lot as being trucks. When I used to live in Seattle, less than 10% of the population drove a truck. Most people who drove a truck needed it because they were contractors. Anyway, since so many people drive a truck, it is pretty easy to halt a little RV camper or have a truck camper for when you go camping.

If you’re looking for a good deal on a used camper, you’ll get a better deal by buying a camper or RV for sale by owner than you will by buying one from a dealership. In most cases, dealers tend to overprice their used inventory. Often it is priced 20 or 25% higher than private party values. By taking the time to look and talk to several owners, you’ll be able to find a good deal on the next motorhome or camper for sale by owner that you buy.
